Fire Fighters rush to the scene under the cover of angels’ wings while the angels kneel in sorrow for the Fire Fighters’ fallen brothers.

The reverse side of the monument shows an angel praying for the fallen fire fighters with a city scape safely sheltered in its wings. The perspective of the city is from high above as if the fallen fire fighters are looking down from heaven on the city they sacrificed their lives to protect

Bronze helmets, like the symbolic helmet held by the angel in the large work are placed around the monument each inscribed with the names of the local firefighters who are fallen.
